But on a MacBook Pro m1 i tested had this issue and it does not have a 4K screen at all, so I don’t know. It does appear that 8.2 is working harder, but not everyone is having this issue.

Seems like it is working way harder than it needs to. I have still got to experiment with refresh rate, I may be at 120hz, and will try 60 and 30 if I can.ĭoes the display subsystem redraw the entire screen at every refresh, or, does it or can it just refresh any changes on the screen, such as play head, meter leds, etc.
#Mixbus v8 full
Set to 1920x1080, way better, about the same as 8.1 I believe on Windows, but go to full 4k, doesn't matter the settings, transparency, terminal command line, or hardware acceleration or disable, the resolution is the issue for me on Mac Studio M1 and 4k monitor. Still have some other testing to do, but the higher the resolution, the more choppy and jerky the play head is. Clip Launching isnt a new idea, but when you see how Harrison has implemented it, youll have to admit that weve taken it to another level. Oh yes, restarting app after every change. This is what Harrison say about Clip Launching We introduced Clip Launching in v8.0, and weve made many improvements to this new feature in v8.1. I think I have noticed some text not being clear but I think it was when i was changing the max os resolution scaling, did you try to restart the app or your computer. Mixbus is an analog-style console that has been incorporated into a Digital Audio Workstation.

Wow, it doesn't seem to for me, and, it makes the text on buttons and controls blury. I’ve only played with this feature and not done any recording, but there are new features coming along all the time.(01-19-2023, 10:45 PM)Skyking11 Wrote: (01-19-2023, 10:18 PM)jeff_sloan Wrote: (01-19-2023, 09:36 PM)Skyking11 Wrote: Disabling hardware acceleration in preferences seems to help get back lost performance Drop in Halion and, if you allow it, it will automatically create a massive group of stereo tracks, one for each instrument in your Halion Rack.

drop in EZDrummer and if you ask it to you can get 10 or so stereo tracks of the individual drums which I believe can be armed for recording to print stems when you’re ready.
#Mixbus v8 tv
There may be little to no difference in the final result once you mix and export your work, but on a TV sized monitor, for me it’s easy/easier to forget it’s a computer.Īs for the perceived ‘stereo’ focus of the Harrison products, Mixbus32C-V9 can automatically break out a single MIDI track with a larger than stereo output into a wide group of individual stereo audio tracks. Of all the DAWs Mixbus32C ‘feels’ the most like I’m sitting in front of a real console while the others, with the possible exception of Pro Tools, feel like I’m mixing in the box. I’ve also recorded and worked (a long, long time ago) in real studios.

Acid Pro, Pro Tools, Pro Tools LE, Ardour, Mixbus, Mixbus32C and recently even the lest expensive ($59) Cubase LE. I’m a 32C user so I see some of this a little differently than other responses, but take my input with a grain of salt. Keep in mind there are two Mixbus versions, Mixbus & Mixbus32C.
